U.N. Security Council Tells Ahmadinejad, "Now You Can't Wear A Tie!"

MAhmadinejadBig.jpg(New York, NY) Last week the United Nations Security Council unanimously voted to ratchet up the sanctions against Iran for refusing to stop enriching uranium.

The new round of sanctions include, a ban on Iranian arms exports and a freeze on the assets of 28 people and organizations involved in Iran's nuclear and missile programs, but the most controversial sanction focused on President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad himself. "From now on, he is not allowed to wear a tie, even if he wanted to," said U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon "No agreement to stop the enrichment of uranium, no tie."

Diplomats from around the globe are applauding the U.N.'s actions, saying 'It's about time.' However, one non-diplomat thinks the U.N. has crossed the line. "I was so close to closing a major tie deal for Ahmadinejad and his whole family," said a disappointed George Zimmer, owner of Men's Warehouse "I guaranteed the Iranian President that I had the perfect tie for him. Now I look like an ass, not as much of an ass as a president who doesn't wear a tie, but an ass never the less."

"Maybe that's the point," said Robert Brookings, Middle East Studies professor at New York University "I think the U.N. is trying to lower Ahmadinejad's status in the Middle East and the world. They want him to be the only guy without an option of a tie, so that when he shows up at parties for world leaders, he's completely underdressed; like the poor kid in private school, who has to wear his uniform to a school function because his family can't afford to get him any real clothes."

What if the tie ban doesn't work? What if Ahmadinejad wears a tie at home?

"Then we'll make him wear kickers or a little school boy outfit," added Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon "The point is, that until he acts like an adult and does what we tell him to do, he will not be allowed to dress like an adult, period."

A defiant Ahmadinejad said, during a speech in Tehran, that he would not succumb to the demands of the devil, while wearing nothing but a tie.

A spokesman for Ahmadinejad said that the speech was meant to impress the public, but unfortunately for the Iranian leader, a cold front blew in and shrunk any possibility of a large impact.
